Edna Sims, 78, of Forsyth joined her loved ones in Heaven, Saturday, March, 3, 2018 at the Ozark Nursing and Care Center, Ozark. Graveside services will be held at 2:00 P.M. Tuesday, March 6 in the Brown Cemetery, Cedar Creek with Pastor David Holvick officiating.

Edna Lavon Sims was born Thursday, November 23, 1939 in Cedar Creek to Albert Milton and Ruth (Ely) Sims. Edna was a unique person, perhaps a little mysterious, but she was a kind and loving person who had suffered a lot of struggles in her seventy-eight years. She loved the Lord and spent a lot of time in his Word and held strong to her faith until one night she went to sleep here on earth only to awake in the arms of her Lord and Savior.

She was a wonderful caregiver to her parents. After the death of her father, she continued caring for her mother who was bedfast and blind for several years. What crowns she has earned to lay at the foot of Jesus.

She is survived by one sister, Clara Combs of Ozark; a sister-in-law, Susie Sims of Taneyville; nephews, nieces, cousins and her extended family at Ozark Nursing a Care Center.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Milt and Ruth Sims; sisters, Ada Edwards and Betty Day and a brother, Kenneth Sims.

Arrangements are under the direction of the Kissee-Schofield-Eakins Funeral Home, Forsyth, MO.
