Joseph R. Novak, 87, of Forsyth, MO, died Monday, January 14, 2019 at his residence. Visitation will be from 10:00 to 11:00 AM Monday, January 21st in the Faith Lutheran Church, Branson. The funeral will be at 11:00 AM with Pastor Joel Krueger officiating. Interment will be private.
Joseph Raymond Novak was born June 16, 1931 in Chicago, IL as the youngest of seven children. He attended CVS Vocational Center for a short period before beginning his career as a tradesman. Joe served in the U. S. Army and was stationed in Panama. Helping others is what Joe enjoyed most. He was very involved in the community and served as Lieutenant for the Wonder Lake Fire Department and was the Chief of Cedar Lake Fire Department in IL. He was an entrepreneur and owned several businesses including, The True Value Hardware Store in Wonder Lake, Il and the Kavon Kove Construction Company.
In his spare time Joe enjoyed water and snow skiing, building anything and everything and helping anyone in need, often taking the heavy end of the load without complaint.
Joe was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather and uncle to many.
He is preceded in death by his loving parents, brothers and sisters.

Arrangements are under the direction of the Kissee-Schofield-Eakins Funeral Home, Forsyth, MO
