Juan Carlos Cruz Roman, 39, of Merriam Woods died May 2, 2018 at his residence. Services will be private.

Juan Carlos Cruz Roman was born Tuesday, December 26, 1978 in Puerto Rico to Juan Cruz Canales and Carmon Roman Andino. He attended the Jose M. Lazaro High School in Carolina Puerto Rico and graduated with the Class of 1998. He later attended and graduated from a culinary school. He worked as a chef in various places in Puerto Rico and New York and moved to Missouri in 2012 where he worked in restaurants in Branson. He was employed at the Ruth's Chris Steak House for ten years. He retired due to a disability.

Juan was a home-body that was a quiet, solitary person with an infectious laugh. He was a hard worker and had great work ethics. He enjoyed his video games and was of the Pentecostal Evangelistic Church faith.

He is survived by his wife, Jenny of Merriam Woods. Three sons, Joe Cruz of Merriam Woods, George Galarza of Bull Creek and Angel Cruz of Merriam Woods; one daughter, Daniella Galarza of Bull Creek; mother Carmon Roman Andino of Puerto Rico and a sister, Zulaima Roman also of Puerto Rico.

He is preceded in death by his father.

Arrangements are under the direction of the Kissee-Schofield-Eakins Funeral Home, Forsyth, MO.
