Mrs. Judith J. LeVelle, 72, of Walnut Shade, MO, died Thursday, May 11, 2017 in The
Shepard of the Hills Living Center, Branson. Services will be private.
Judith Joann LeVelle was born Monday, October 23, 1944 in McClurg, MO to Earl
Raymond and Thelma Laura May (Garrison) Evans. She attended the Bradleyville High
School and graduated in the class of 1962. She met W. J. LeVelle in Rockaway Beach,
MO and they were married February 25, 1965 in Palatka, FL. They lived in FL until 1969
when they moved back to Taney County. They then moved to Douglas County where
they purchased a dairy farm and milked cows from 1970 to 1991. Judith began working
for Heart of The Ozarks Nursing Home. She began as a CNN, then as a Medical Tech.,
then in Physical Therapy and after attending Southwest Baptist University School of
Nursing, became a LPN. She worked for twenty-five years retiring in 2017. She and W.
J. had moved to Walnut Shade in 2006.
Judith's positive attitude, strong-willed, caring and giving manner made her well-liked
by all who knew her. She enjoyed reading, attending yard sales and especially spending
time with her husband, children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was of the

and wife, Amanda of Ava, MO; three daughters, Sandra Puckett of Walnut Shade, Mary
Jo Jones and husband, Rodney of Davenport, IA, Tracy LeVelle of Ava; one brother,
Sim Evans and wife, Georgia of Dayton, OH; seven grandchildren, Matt Puckett,
Brittany and Christina Sanders, Sarah Taber, Stetson, Augustus and Montana LeVelle;
five great-grandchildren, Alex, Trevin, Oakley, Carson and Bethany.
She is preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, Jesse and Jim Evans; one
sister, Barbara Young.
