Lorraine Peracki, 86 of Forsyth died Friday, January 12, 2018 at her residence. A memorial service will be held at 10:00 AM Tuesday, January 16 in the Forsyth Christian Church with Pastor Jeff Jordon officiating.

Lorraine Ellen Peracki was born Wednesday, February 18, 1931 in Chicago, IL to James and Saima (Mattson) Hartley. She attended the Evinger Elementary School and graduated with the class of 1948 from the Parker High School in Chicago. She was employed with the Cook County Department of Public Aid and later became a caseworker for the Illinois Department of Public Aid. She was married to Arthur Peracki on February 14, 1975 in Chicago. He died in 2015. Lorraine worked for the Department of Public Aid for twenty years and moved to Taney County in 1998.

Lorraine was a very strong, energetic and focused lady that liked to keep busy. She was friendly, loyal and loved to spend time with her family. She was a world traveler that enjoyed attending plays, singing in the church choir, crossword puzzles, crafts, sewing, knitting and quilting. She was a member of the PTA, and was a Girl Scout leader. She was a member of the Forsyth Christian Church and the Forsyth United Methodist Church.

She is survived by two sons, Rev. James Bredwell, Sr and wife, Lynn of Forsyth, Robert Bredwell and wife, Jackie of Fort Myers, FL; three daughters, Marlene Picmon of Forsyth, Jackie Langner and husband, Chuck of Chicago, Janette Stephen and husband Glen of Battlefield, WA; one brother, Charles Hartley and wife, Ann of St. Charles, IL; two sisters, Marlene Holland and husband, Grant of Huntsville, TX, Judy Milburn of Merriville, IN; eighteen grandchildren and thirty great-grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Arthur Peracki; a daughter, Linda Zielinski; two sisters, Joan Sammons and Linda Cima.
