Mary Lou Secrest, 74, of Branson died Monday, January 7, 2019 in the Forsyth Nursing and Rehab Center. Services will be private.
Mary Louise Secrest was born Saturday, November 25, 1944 in Branson, MO to
Georgia Mae Boyd. Kenneth Pruitt became Mary Lou's stepfather and helped raise her and her siblings. She attended school in Branson and later moved to Washington where she graduated high school. She met Billy "Bill" Secrest while in high school. They were married April 2, 1965 in Harrison, AR. She lived her whole life tin the area working various jobs. Her last employment was with the Branson School where she was a custodial engineer.
Mary Lou was a very caring, loving gal with a great sense of humor. Although she joked a lot, she was very devoted to her husband, Bill, the children and grandchildren.
She is survived by her husband, Bill of Branson; two sons, Efton Secrest of Rockaway Beach, Jason Secrest of Galena, MO; four brothers, Terry Pruitt and wife, Jenny of Ozark, MO, Richard Pruitt and wife, Sam of Brighton, MO, Les Pruitt and wife, Ladena of Ozark, Robert Pruitt of Forsyth; four sisters, Fay Beaver of Forsyth, Linda Adams of Branson, Nancy Johnson and husband, Charlie of Urbanette, AR, Sheila Bennett and husband, Terry of Springfield; four grandchildren, Haley Rife, Preston, Debra and Tracy Secrest and three great-grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her parents.
