Paul R. Hickson, 60, of Rockaway Beach died Monday, July 30, 2018 in the
Forsyth Nursing and Rehab Center. A Celebration of Life will be held at 11:00
A.M. Saturday, August 11, 2018 in the First Baptist Church in Buckner, MO.
Paul Richard Hickson was born Saturday, March 1, 1958 in Kansas City, MO
to Gerald Ray and Ruth Ann (Bulloc) Hickson. He attended the Raytown
Schools and graduated from Raytown High School in the class of 1976. He
began working in repairing TV's then as a diesel mechanic. He then owned
and operated the Hillbilly Yogurt Shop in Branson. He had to retired due to
poor health. He had lived in Kansas City, Independence, MO, Hollister and
later moved to Rockaway Beach.
Paul could fix about anything. He especially enjoyed making thing from wood.
He was a prankster that loved to playing jokes on someone. His great sense
of humor and outgoing personality endeared him to anyone who met him. He
never met a stranger. Paul was also very loving and caring and would do
anything for anyone. He was a member of the White Ridge Baptist Church in
Lee Summit, MO.
He is survived by his parents, Gerald and Ruth Hickson of Buckner, MO; a
son, Travis Admire and wife, Beth of Blue Springs, MO; three daughters,
Heather Marie Wolfertz and husband, J.C. of Crystal River, FL, Leslie Faith
Cooper and husband, Brooks of Ohio, Caitlin Sohl and husband, Andy of
Peculiar, MO; two brothers, Donald Hickson and wife, Rhonda of Grain Valley,
MO, Daniel Hickson and wife, Karen of Buckner, MO; a sister, Susan Graham
and husband, Larry of Grain Valley, MO; ten grandchildren and longtime
friend, Debbie O'Connell.
He is preceded in death by his grandparents and granddaughter, Cadence
The family request no flowers.
