Ms. Samantha (Acra) Stauch, 51 of Branson, passed away peacefully, Monday January 21, 2019 in the Point Lookout Nursing and Rehab, Hollister, MO. Visitation will be from 3:00 to 5:00 P.M. Sunday, January 27th in the Kissee-Schofield-Eakins Funeral Home, Forsyth. Funeral Service will be at 10:00 A.M. Monday, January 28th in the funeral home with Pastor Austin Sutton officiating. Burial will be at 2:00 P.M. in the Denlow Cemetery, Denlow, MO, Douglas County.
Samantha Joe Archie was born Monday, October 30, 1967 in Riverton, WY to Daniel and Barbara (Mahan) Archie. She attended school in Mt. Grove and finished high school in Branson. As a young woman, Samantha owned her own restaurant in Norwood, MO called "Samantha's Kitchen." While living in Norwood, she met Kenneth Farren Acra and they were married on July 14, 1990 in Mt. Grove. In the mid- nineties, her family relocated to Forsyth, MO, where she operated a childcare facility out of her home, while raising her daughters. As the years progressed, she ended up accepting the position as a Dietary Manager for the Point Lookout Nursing and Rehab. A career she enjoyed and stayed at for over ten years. Following her husband's death, she proved to be one of the hardest workers by managing a restaurant in Branson and then ending her career at Silver Dollar City, a placed she loved her entire life.
Samantha took pride in her home by making it a welcoming place for family, friends and neighbors. There was never a holiday or occasion that she did not decorate for and prepare enough food to feed the entire community. Her hospitality and love for others made her especially unique. She loved nothing more than spending time with family, friends and she gave selflessly at every opportunity.
She enjoyed going to concerts, traveling and being outdoors. Most of all, she was a loving mother, grandmother, daughter, sister and friend.
She is survived by her mother, Barbara (Mahan) Sutherland and husband, Tommy of Branson; father, Daniel Archie of Georgia; three daughters, Kendra Green of Forsyth, Kayla and Kara Acra of Springfield, MO; grandson, Samuel Ruffin; three sisters, Tabetha Caldwell and husband, Dan of Sunrise Beach, MO, Brenda Coffman and husband, David of Mt. Grove, and Rita Coble and husband, Kevin of Mt. Grove and many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and many dear friends.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth Farren Acra.
