About Ted Eakins
Ted Eakins was born in Martin, Tennessee in January of 1965. At an early
age his family moved to southern California and in his teenage years they
moved to Washington State where he graduated from high school. After
school he joined the U.S. Army and was stationed in Germany, Ft. Huachuca,
AZ, Korea and Ft. Bliss, TX. While in the Army, Ted was one of ten
recipients to receive the Phillip Connelly Award and was sent to California
Culinary Arts in San Francisco, CA. to earn his chef certification.
After his military service, he worked as a chef in various local restaurants in
Seattle. In 2003, he moved to Mt. Home, AR. and enrolled in Arkansas State
University Mountain Home, Funeral Science Program. In 2005, he graduated
Cum Laude with a degree in Funeral Science. He served his apprentiship
with the Roller Funeral Home in Mt. Home and is a licensed Funeral Director
and Embalmer in the states of Arkansas and Missouri.
In 2006 Ted Eakins and Ron Schofield purchased the Kissee-Schofield-Eakins
He is a Life Member of the Amvets Post #78 of Rockaway Beach, MO and the
Veterans of Foreign Wars.
