Mr. Wade H. Vaughan, 61, of Taneyville died September 21, 2018 at his residence. Services will be private.

Wade Henry Vaughan was born Wednesday, March 13, 1957 in Frankfurt, Germany to James Robert and Bettye (Welker) Vaughan. He attended the St. Joseph Catholic School and Hillcrest High School in Springfield, MO. During the Vietnam Era, he enlisted in the U. S. Marine Corp. He was honorably discharged with the rank of E-1 in 1976. He moved back to Springfield where he met Terresa "Terri" Essary. They were married June 2, 1979 in Taneyville. They lived in Springfield for a while and moved to Taneyville. Wade worked numerous jobs including: hauling scrap metal, recycling, roofing, hauling cedar, construction and as a mechanic. He retired in 2018.

Wade was a proud, independent man with a long beard and hair. He had a great sense of humor and appreciated a good joke. He enjoyed collecting, attending swap meets, slot machines, car restoration and cooking. He was a former member of the Lions Club and attended the Taneyville Community Church.

He is survived by his wife, Terri of Taneyville; three sons, Amon Vaughan and wife, Sarah of Springfield, James Vaughan and wife, Stacy of Taneyville, Joseph Vaughan and wife, Twila of Oklahoma; seven brothers, James "Jay" Vaughan and wife, Val of Elisaville, NY, Ronald Vaughan of Grandview, MO, Kenneth Vaughan and wife, Teri, Dana Haydon Vaughan of Colorado, Ivan "Pete" Vaughan of Springfield, Dayle Vaughan and wife, Tinya of Nebraska, Clifton Vaughan and wife, Angel of Grandview, MO; four sisters, Anne Vaughan of Phoenix, AZ, Cynthia Massey of Springfield, Mary Gentz and husband, Freddy of NE, Martha Vaughan of Springfield; eight grandchildren, Floyd, Tori and Ruby Vaughan, Dakota and Aaron, Curtis Harvey, McKael and Scyla Maslar and two great-grandchildren.

He is preceded in death by his parents and one sister, Cathy Vaughan.
