Wayne Caskey Sr., 96, of Forsyth died Sunday, June 3, 2018 at his residence. A visitation will be held from 12:00 to 1:00 PM Friday, June 8, in the Kissee-Schofield-Eakins Funeral Home. The funeral will be at 1:00 PM in the funeral home with Reverend Dr. Larry L. Kackley officiating. Burial, with military honors, will be in the Snapp Cemetery, Forsyth.

Wayne Albert Caskey was born Tuesday, June 7, 1921 in Wauseon, OH to Lawerence and Daisy (Kling) Caskey. He attended school in Delta, OH and after graduating high school he attended a university in New York majoring in Architectural Engineering. In 1942 he enlisted in the U. S. Navy and became a Navy Aviator in the South Pacific during World War II. He was honorably discharged in 1945 with the rank of Lieutenant. He moved back to Maryland and became a Real Estate Developer. He met Shirley Ann Harbison in Hyattsville, MD in 1954. They were married April 13, 1956 in Fresno, CA. They moved to the San Francisco Bay Area where he became Vice President of the E. S. Merriam & Son Mortgage Banking Co. He retired in 1974 and became a Real Estate Developer. He and Shirley moved to Forsyth in 1992.

Wayne was a perfectionist with a dry sense of humor. He was very social, loved to have fun and enjoyed boating, camping, gardening and anything to do with outdoors. He especially enjoyed his Scotch, "Tidily Times Somewhere," Seafood, playing his Jewish Harp, dancing and teasing his family. He was a loving, giving, caring and teaching father. He was a member of the Elks Lodge #2597, a life member of V.F.W. Post 5168, and was key holder to the Playboy Club. He was of the Protestant Faith.

He is survived by his wife, Shirley of Forsyth; a son, Wayne; three daughters, Cher Leahan of Oakland, NJ, Cindy white of Sacramento, CA, Laurie Anderson and husband, Rick of Forsyth; twelve grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren.

He is preceded in death by his parents and a son, Michael Caskey.
