Mr. Audy Baldridge, 85, of Branson, died Saturday, March 2, 2019 in Cox Medical Center Branson. The visitation will be from 5:00 to 7:00 PM Tuesday, March 5th in the Kissee-Schofield-Eakins Funeral Home. The funeral service will be at 11:00 AM Wednesday, March 6th in the funeral home with Pastor Ben Baldridge officiating.
Audy Baldridge was born Tuesday, March 7, 1933 in Okmulgee, OK to Wilburn James and Leora (Rice) Baldridge. He attended school in Durant, OK. In 1952 he enlisted in the U.S. Navy and was stationed in San Diego, CA. He was honorably discharged in 1956. Audy came back to Oklahoma and attended OSU Institute of Technology and graduated in the class of 1959. He became a journeyman carpenter in commercial construction and worked at this for forty-eight years. He was also a singer, musician and song writer.
Audy was very fond of Country Music. While in Colorado, he was inducted into the Colorado Country Music Hall of Fame. When he moved to Branson, he performed at various locations. He was also a member of the V.F.W and Grace Apostolic Church in Forsyth. Audy was very fun-loving and loved to tease his family and friends. He was also plain spoken and loved good food and fellowship, but most of all he liked being with his family.
He is survived by one son, Ben Baldridge and wife, Linda of Forsyth; a daughter, Phyllis Martin and husband, Charlie of Humble, TX; former wife, Lauretta of Humble, TX; four brothers: Haskell Baldridge and wife Reva, Arvil Baldridge and wife, Retha, Fred Baldridge and wife, Betty, Bob Baldridge and wife, Joyce; a sister, Lois Walker and husband, Richard and thirteen grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by his parents; a sister Jemetta Heard; wife, Joan Baldridge and three great-grandchildren.
